Steelers outlast Colts 23-20

Sunday night’s game confirmed that on any given Sunday any team can show up and play their hearts out. The Colts defense did just that. First and foremost, the Colts held Mendenhall to just 39 yards on 18 carries. Secondly, Ben Roethlisberger was sacked and stripped of the ball twice by defensive ends Dwight Freeny and Robert Mathis. Good thing our passing game yielded much better results; it only took three catches for Mike Wallace to extend his streak of 100-yard receiving games in the regular season to six in a row. The pass that put him over the top was an 81-yard touchdown from Ben Roethlisberger that gave the Steelers a 10-0 lead. If you missed this play check out the “Speed Kills” replay on YouTube.
